Opel Crossland X, Opel’s urban crossover

Opel Crossland X is the name of the German firm’s latest compact SUV model.

The new
Opel Crossland X is a mix between a minivan and an off-road. “A seductive crossover with a SUV design, highly efficient motors and superior class innovations“; this is the definition Opel gives to its latest bet within the SUV family.
With a sports design and a SUV appearance, Opel’s new model is 4,21 metres long and 1,76 metres wide. It has especially modern characteristics such as LED headlamps, solar roof down to the back seats and bitonal bodywork.
Opel Crossland X is a simple, practical and easily to drive model in which effectivity and security come second to no one, not even aesthetics.
Two finishing touches are offered: Selective and Excellence. The first one includes voice control, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, cruise control with speed limiter, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and dual zone electronic climate control, among others. In addition to the mentioned above, Excellence finish includes features such as rain and light sensors and chrome-effect side window trim, among others.
There is a wide range of engines for Crossland X: petrol, diesel and GLP. Three petrol mechanics are available: a 1,2 l engine block with 81 CV and two 1,2 l engine blocks with Turbo 110 CV or 130 CV. Moving on to diesel, two mechanics are available: a 1,6 l engine block with 99 or 120 CV.
Procon Systems has executed the car body sides’ Project for the new Opel Crossland X at the factory in Zaragoza. The car body sides’ welding line consists of 110 robots and 22 plc. All the engineering and process design has been Procon Systems’ responsibility as well as the realisation of the electricity and control full package. The mechanical manufacturing has been Opel’s Rüsselsheim mechanical repair shop’s responsibility. The car body sides’ line is a full flex line with the ability to manufacture pieces for the Opel Crossland X and the Citroën C3-Aircross which is also manufactured at Zaragoza.
