Procon Systems visited ITER as part of their ongoing collaboration in the CSS-OS

23 - 05 - 2023

Recently, personnel from Procon Systems visited ITER's facilities to carry out their regular follow-up meeting with the technical team responsible for the Central Safety System for Occupational Safety (CSS-OS) on behalf of ITER.

The CSS-OS (Central Safety System - Occupational Safety) at ITER is a comprehensive occupational safety system. This system is responsible for monitoring and safely controlling personnel safety aspects within the ITER facilities.

This meeting, which is part of the project's regular monitoring sessions, had the main objective of successfully closing the project's second phase, focused on the manufacturing stage, and planning future activities.

This project was signed in 2019, initially with a planned duration of 5 years and with the possibility of extending it for an additional 4 years, further prolonging the current Procon Systems' collaboration with ITER of more than 15 years.

Subsequently, a site visit was conducted at ITER to verify the final locations of the equipment supplied by Procon Systems, as well as to gain a general overview of the site and its facilities.

These follow-up activities and the site visit strengthen the collaboration and commitment between Procon Systems and ITER in the successful implementation of the Central Safety System for Occupational Safety (CSS-OS).
